The mood of this song captured what I felt when writing this/what I thought Reno felt. The part when Davey belts out the chorus at the end especially does it for me. I also think it connects well with "At the Steps of Heaven's Door."

Notes

I didn't want to get too philosophical, but here are my notes on the bit where Tifa and Reno were talking about being inherently evil; I hope that part made some kind of sense, I partially winged it:

inherent = existing as an essential constituent or characteristic

inherently evil = evil exists as an essential characteristic

if evil is an essential part of being human,

what is being human?

being flawed; simply imperfect

jump: if evil is a part of humans, then humans must be evil
